<description>My sympathies to you and your family on the passing of Dan. He was a very special person, and it saddens me to know he is gone. I knew him well in high school and when he was in the Navy. I too was part that “group.” We lost touch over the years and I heard very little of him. It was just a month ago I heard of his passing, and last night when I came upon your website. I emailed your link to those above, and to others that knew Dan “when.” Dan is a special soul, and will always have a place in my heart. He had a way of making a person comfortable and accepted. It was that sparkle in his blue eyes, slight snicker and big smile that I will never forget about Dan. I am sure he’s watching over all of his loved ones, listening to music, tapping his feet, rocking head to the music and passionately having a discussion regarding the woes of the world, and the solutions, with all others have passed before him.

May Dan rest in peace, and peace be with you and your family.

<description>Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am the song that will never end.
I am the love of family and friend.
I am the child who has come to rest
In the arms of the Father who knows him best.

When you see the sunset fair,
I am the scented evening air.
I am the joy of a task well done.
I am the glow of the setting sun.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

~ Mary E. Frye ~

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Dan many years ago in high school, he was one of "the group", it makes me smile thinking about him and those days (not to mention we couldn't come up with a better name than "the group"). This is my favorite poem that reminds us that our loved ones are forever with us. I hope you are able to feel Dan forever with you.
With heartfelt sympathy,

<description>I am so sorry for your loss and mine. Dan was like a brother to me since highschool. We have been staying in contact the past 5 years.
I will miss him dearly and not a day goes by I dont think of Dan and all the moments we had together.
My Sympathies
